Anchor • Dunwich


Situated outside Dunwich museum.

 A plaque reads: 

This anchor was made in one of the Admiralty's dockyards during the war with Napoleon's France. It was recovered from the bed of the sea off Dunwich, where it is known the Navy made a survey of the seabed in 1798.
