Windmill • Chilton Street

This tower mill was built in 1846 as a corn mill. 

The sails came off in a storm prior to the First World War, and was never restored.

The machinery was removed in the 1920s and it has stood a ruin ever since. 

It is on private farmland, but visible from the roadside.
